cizle
hi, I managed to instal a USB D-LINK DWL-G122 ( with RTUSB drivers) on my 10.5.2 but the problem is that it only works when I boot in safe mode... my guess : there's some driver that is preventing my USB wireless card from working ( the wireless utility tells me that the USB card isn't connected but it is... ) this only happens when booting normally ... is there any way I can find out / manage / change the drivers that are started when I boot normally, and do the same when I boot in safe mode so I can compare and eventually turn off / delete some drivers that may be blocking this card from working? ( I know I have to be careful with this) + has anyone other suggestions / possible causes / solutions / experience with/for this problem? friendly greets Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/114159-wireless-only-works-in-safe-mode/ Share on other sites
teknojunkie
try force loading the kext when booted, like go into terminal and type sudo -s pass kextload -t /System/Library/Extensions/your DWL-G122 kext.kext then check in system profiler under software-extensions to see if it loaded Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/114159-wireless-only-works-in-safe-mode/#findComment-808440 Share on other sites
