I downloaded the 10.4.4/10.4.5 prepatched/bootable DVD that's been floating around recently, and whenever I try to boot from it, the Darwin installer thing comes up, and it says "Press any key to install Mac OS X", and I press a key, it goes for maybe 4-5 seconds, and reboots my PC. It never even gets into setup. I have also tried a 10.4.4 disc, and I've tried a 10.4.3 disc that was patched for maximum compatibility with everything, and I get the same results. Just reboots the PC shortly after I "press any key to install Mac OS X".

If anyone has run into this or has any ideas I would really appreciate it. My system specs are below:

AMD Athlon X2 4200+ Dual Core CPU

eVGA nForce4 SLI Motherboard

2048MB (512x4) Simpletech Nitro Extreme PC3500 DDR Memory

2x eVGA GeForce 7800GT SLI

Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic

WD Raptor 150GB 16MB Cache 10,000 RPM SATA HD

Maxtor Diamondmax 250GB 16MB Cache SATA HD

Hitachi 160GB 8MB Cache SATA HD

Plextor 712SA SATA DVD/RW

Yeah I just faced the same problem. First of all, I have a very similar system and you should know os x won't support SATA with your mobo's chipset...the nforce4...so basically your HD's are useless, you need to get a PATA HD and a supported NIC if you want to surf the net as well...
