If you have an Intel C2D setup, do this:Install with IATKOS 1.0r2 (10.5.1), use vanilla kernel and EFI, no darwin. After installing, your boot up will still be slow. Now the good part, download the official AppleCombo Update 10.5.3 (haven't try 10.5.4 yet) and update your MacOSX. You can't do direct update directly of course and have to use the terminal to do the remove powermanagement kext trick while updating. Can't remember the link, just google on how to update to 10.5.2 (same process).Once updated, inject back your sound and vga drivers after reboot. It certainly works for me. My OSX boot up time is much faster than XP, VISTA and UBUNTU running on the same PC (quad-boot system). There's nothing like original apple updates. It probably faster than some real macs too. :)Frankly...i hate Kalyway...it bombs on my AMD lappy. If you're running Intel C2D, try to stay as close to the vanilla kernel and use EFI.

I had the same problem, really slow boot time and my keyboard would work when it felt like it.

The keyboard problem is really well known, though. PS/2 keyboards just don't get alopng with OSX, so if you're planning to use OSX on your hackintosh daily, I suggest you invest in a USB keyboard.
