uPod
Hey guys I am mainly interested in running OSx86 to be able to test out the iPhone SDK environment to see how it is before spending $1000 on a new Mac. Does anyone have any experience in getting it running? jas_mart
I have the SDK installed on my setup. The iPhone Simulator app seems to run just fine. They don't include a whole lot with it though.. just the Photos, Contacts, Safari and Settings. I've also just recently used XCode to compile some stuff without issue. The first time I ran XCode after installing the SDK it asked if I wanted to use my connected iPod Touch for development but then gave me an error saying the firmware wasn't new enough. Probably needs a 2.x firmware to make it work. uPod
Oh alright thanks guys. I was hoping to get OSX working on my machine before the App Store is brought online (July 12th) but I have not had much luck trying to get OSX running. You only need leopard right? It does not matter if you have 10.5.1 or 10.5.2 right? Anyway, from what you guys have said the SDK will work as long as you can get OSX running. Is that right? I have heard of some software not working on a guys OSX install. Some more responses would be great, thanks. newbmac
really? do you have a link for that? Come on, at least make some effort to find these things yourself. Geesh. It's called the apple development center, try to google for that as an exercise. uPod
I have been looking and the only thing I can find is that it requires OS X Leopard to run.
