Hi I'm looking for some help with my Kalyway dual-boot install.

When installed as the only OS it works fine, boots directly into Leopard after the install completes. No issues except for QE/CI which needs a patch for GMA900 video.

Now I'm trying to Dual boot with XP. I have two partitions. I installed XP first on the first partition and that went well. I then installed Leopard on the second partition with the exact same kernel and driver options as my previous installs. The install competes without a problem and it reboots. Darwin bootloader kicks in (as expected) and the partition with Leopard is the default option so it tries to boot OSX without me having to tell it to. It gets to the grey screen with Apple logo and spinning icon. After about a minute it reboots and gets to the grey screen then reboots again. No errors are thrown up.

Selecting boot options in Darwin lets me select the XP partition and that boots fine. When I manually select the OSX partion it reboots at the same place (apple logo screen).

I tried booting in safe mode and it just hangs on the Apple logo screen (without the spinning icon)

Any ideas? Thanks!

Thanks for the tip but I ended up redoing everything but installed OSX first (since this always worked fine). When I installed XP the installer marked the HFS partition as inactive. After windows was installed I set the HFS partion as active again (using Acronis since disk management and Partition magic wouldnt work) and the OSX partition became the primary partition again. Now Darwin boots into OSX by default but I can use "F8" to select the XP partition and boot. Which is the way I want it to work. :)
