SushiChef
I have been long time lurker of these forums, and never said anything, but finally comes a question that I cannot get a straight answer to via search/trial and error. I cannot for the life of me get Sleep/Shutdown/Reboot to work. The computer will sleep but it will not wake. I installed iAtkos 2.0i BS with no kernel selected (speed step kernel defaulted), ntfs3g, speedstepping and the EFI bootloader. i use NVinjectGO 0.2.0 drivers for the 8400GS M and CI/QE works beautifully. I also installed macgirls link to the media key fix and the 9228 sigmatel audio injection drivers. I also installed mac.nub's newest SMBios, and superhai's USBEHCL Updater.pkg file in an attempt to fix the sleep problem. Both Core's are enabled, with all the bios flair enabled (speed step, multicore) The laptop is a Dell 1420. Now for the formal question With the iAtkos speedstep kernel installed, is there anyway for me to get sleep working (i dont really care about shutdown/reboot but they would be nice)? or alternatively Could i potentially install another kernel vanilla or others, that would allow me to have both speedstep and sleep? Thanks. Kevin Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/113555-sleepshutdownreboot-dell-1420/ Share on other sites
