BuXb Posted July 1, 2008 Share Posted July 1, 2008 If you have freezes during boot when or right before reaching the Desktop, esp. after changing a kernel or after applying a Mac OS Update to your iHack, it might be because you have a folder ACPICPUThrottler in /Library/StartUpItems. Just boot form another volume, or boot with a kernel which is resistant to ACPICPUThrottler, like Netkas 9.2.0 speedstep kernel, then remove the entire folder /Library/StartUpItems/ACPICPUThrottler. Strange enough, this startup item is NOT displayed in the account's login itmes ..
