nfshp253
Today I found the 10.5.4 combined update for Mac OS X. I have Leo4All V3 on my laptop. I would like to ask if I could upgrade using the official package or must I wait for a Combo update from JaS, Kalyway or others? Anyway, is there a 10.5.3 update that will definitely work for Leo4All V3? pspman3
The 10.5.4 defientally works on vanilla kernel, and on non-vanilla with the modbin kernel also, there is a combo update from JaS for 10.5.3 and it will work on both vanilla and non-vanilla. for it to work on my non-vanilla leo4all v3 I had to type the following into the terminal to use the new 10.5.4 kernel after install. sudo mv /mach_kernel /mach_kernel.old sudo mv /mach_kernel.new /mach_kernel and Reboot Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/113382-how-to-update-to-mac-os-x-1054/#findComment-804740 Share on other sites
E-werd
I started with Leo4All v3 and updated to 10.5.3 using the kalyway combo update, worked fine. I have been using vanilla kernel, so then the update to 10.5.4 from 10.5.3 was flawless through Apple's updater. If you are on AMD, you'll need to select the appropriate kernel with the kalyway combo (there is a separate package for the 9.3.0 or 9.2.0 kernel), then get ahold of the 9.4.0 modbin kernel. Either way, you're going to need to reinstall all (or at least most) of your custom kexts after the updates.
