Dragonlord
Hi. I recently installed iATKOS v1.0i on my pc. Everything works fine, but for some reason Im not able to boot to the osx without the installation CD. So Im forced to use the installation cd as a boot disk to get into the os. Is there a way to fix this? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/113316-wont-boot-without-disk/ Share on other sites
geez
I think I'm seeing this problem, too. To be honest, I'm too afraid to reboot my machine to see if it boots on its own without the disk ;-) What is the process that starts the boot? Is there anything we can do to force boot? Dragonlord
I did tried booting without the disk, it just hangs when the bios will select the device to boot. I even tried removing the disk after the OS loads, but the disk doesnt eject. Meridio21
It´s related to startup process. Master Boot Record (MBR, first sector in drive) must point to darwin bootloader. Workaround: look about chain0 metod, or grub bootmanager (chainloader +1) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/113316-wont-boot-without-disk/#findComment-808558 Share on other sites
