_distorted
Hey all. I've Installed Leo4all version of Mac OSX on my system: Gigabyte P35-DS4 Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4ghz Q6600 4Gigs of Kingston RAM USB Keyboard and Mouse 250gigs of Western Digital for Boot Drive. Now, at work i've got the EXACT SAME system, but the boot drive is a Maxtor 80Gig. Everytime i install Leo4all v2 on my office RIG, it gives me this error: "The Installer couldnt install some files in /Volume/OSX" Please can anybody tell me why isnt it installing? I've done everything i know bout hackintosh installations. Please!!! kytzu
maybe the way you did the partitioning is different, make sure your partition is HFS+ journaled (0xAF) and use "erase" method from disk utility as well. If still nok try to repartition the disk with another tool Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/113224-weird-error-but-successfully-done-on-other-pc/#findComment-801391 Share on other sites
_distorted
MAC OSX Journaled is the only way i partition. What other tool can there be? kytzu
you can use hiren's boot cd and use the partitioning tools from there, make first a fat32 partition and then convert partition id to 0xAF manually, there are also some issues with sata controler, change between AHCI or other options in bios. _distorted
With the mobo I have, i've changed the bios settings accordingly to that, the AHCI isnt a problem, i will try the Hiren Boot CD workaround. Thanks. Will update this thread in 3 hours!
