mecanoiz Posted June 30, 2008 Share Posted June 30, 2008 First post Okay, about a week ago i started reading the forums. Got out and bought a asus P5k-e wifi and a Q6600. With the kalyway 10.5.2 disk everything worked out of the box. Now everything is set up (my time machine disk etc, al the utilities i want) I just have the following problems and questions. - At shutdown the screen goes standby but the cpu fan keeps spinning (also with the osx86 utility hard shutdown) - First day i installed the combo update got stuck and had to reinstall. Now I know what to do, but if something goes wrong again can i use the time machine properly? - I have an echo audiofire12 when putting it on or off i have to reboot. anyone experience on this? - Is there any advantage installing EFI and getting a retail disk over the kalyway disk? - dvd player doesn't work. Hope some one replies. replying on my own post feels quite pathetic. But I'm quite sure that while running 10.5.2 i didn't work either. I can't speak for your mo-board but mine has settings for standby mode and what methods can bring it out of sleep. I would poke around in your BIOS for settings like that... Mine has an ENABLE/DISABLE toggle for keyboard input.
