zakfontaine
Hey, This is probably an easy fix, but I've been searching for an hour or so and can't find anything on it. I get noticeably better performance when my laptop is booted while the ac is plugged in. If I unplug it after booting it makes no difference to the performance. Is there a setting I'm missing? This isn't a huge deal, but one of those little things that bugs me. Thanks in advance. Also, I'm running Kalyway 10.5.3, and have tried booting with all the optional kernels. zakfontaine
Just wanted to state that I found a solution. I downloaded a program called coolbook (http://www.coolbook.se/CoolBook.html) which worked fine after loading the macbook smbios.kext. It allows you to set predetermined clock speeds/voltages, and max temps. After downloading the trial I realized it was stuck on a speed of 800MHz when booted off battery. This fixed that.
