admirald
I currently have a Kalyway 10.5.3 install reports itself as such in system profiler: Hardware Overview: Model Name: Mac Model Identifier: . I'd much rather the machine identify itself as a Mac Pro (MacPro3,1). What can I do to fix this? I've tried various AppleSMBIOS.kext files, even those billed as 'Mac Pro'-identifying, but nothing seems to change it from the above. I'm booting with -f every time. When I install Leo4All 10.5.2 and use the Apple 800Mhz SMBIOS option, it shows up as a Mac Pro, but even using the SMBIOS from that package doesn't seem to change the one on this install. What can i do? edit: figured it out; my AppleACPIPlatform.kext was somehow overriding the SMBIOS...
