stephensaw
Hi All, I have installed Leo4Allv3 for my AMD system, everything works just amazing out-of-box, I wonder if I could have a higher resolution? AMD Athlon 3200+ Asus A8N-E Geforce 6600 128MB (Currently 1024x768, should be able go for 1680x1050) 2.5GB DDR400 3xSATAII HDD Realtek Audio nForce LAN I had tried NVInject, Natit and those came with the Leo4All itself, but no luck. Should I edit some file to add in my device id? Please point me to the source, thanks. Littlenatey
Any help would be fantastic. This is my system: Athlon 64 x2 1.5 GB DDR2 RAM 2x 320 GB IDE HDs Palit GeForce 8800 GT Nvidia motherboard Here is what I did today: -Reformatted and reinstalled Leo4All 10.5.2 WITHOUT installing any Nvidia drivers. I have the Nvidia motherboard and apparently that causes a conflict. -Downloaded NVInstaller v. 41 from http://scottdangel.com/blog/?page_id=20 -Ran NVInstaller, made sure to check the box for a 512 MB card. -Edited the Info.plist file for GeForce.kext, this was the change: <key>IOPCIMatch</key> <string>0x006110de</string> -Edited the Info.plist file for NVDANV50Hal.kext, this was the change: <key>IOPCIPrimaryMatch</key> <string>0x006110de</string> -Edited the Info.plist file for NVDAResman.kext, this was the change: <key>IOPCIPrimaryMatch</key> <string>0x006110de</string> -Edited the Info.plist file for NVinject.kext, these were the changes: <key>IOPCIMatch</key> <string>0x006110de</string> and <key>IOProbeScore</key> <integer>0</integer> -I then rebooted. Still stuck at 1024x768 with no other resolution choices. I would GREATLY GREATLY appreciate help with this. I need to get back to work in Garageband since my iBook died. I am very very very new to this idea of OSX86, so if you could please keep any advice, solutions, etc. clear, conscice, and with no assumptions that I have any clue on what I'm doing. I had never even looked at kext files before this whole mess! Thanks! Littlenatey
If anyone is reading this thread, PLEASE HELP if you can! I reinstalled Leo4All again today, and again w/o the Nvidia drivers. Today I tried the Nvidia Universal Installer, found in this thread: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=82080 I then again modified the plist.info for GeForce.kext, NVDARESMAN.KEXT, NVDANV50Hal.kext, and NVinject.kext, adding my device ID and removing any others for each of these. At boot I can specify "Graphics Mode"="1440x900x32" and I do get this resolution! You don't know how excited I was! However, one look at my System Profiler shows that the card is not fully functioning. Does ANYONE know what I'm doing wrong? Again, if you have any clue, PLEASE HELP my noobie self. I've read numerous threads on this board, numerous pages on the wiki and elsewhere. I've made it this far all on my own. Please help me just a little to get my card fully functional!
