I have a Sony Vaio Ultra Portable Laptop. I have the original XP restore disk to restore to shipped manufatured condition. In addition I have the Sony supplied Vista Premium Upgrade DVD. (Can not boot from Vista DVD directly. Needs to be used from the XP environment). (Info to better expain the issues)

With XP in place then Upgrade to Vista, I then use the Vista Disk management to shrink the volume drive to 20 gigs and formatted to FAT32 for the OS X system install. (This is where I am at right now)

2 previous times i did the same but went further only to end up with a HFS+ Partion Error. Could only then boot into OS X via DVD in drive. Could not access Windows at all. Could Not get to Boot up using the F8 Key. Could Not boot up with the Sony Win Vista DVD. Only able to Boot into Sony recovery DVD's. (No option to repair, only reinstall). Hhave another full copy of Vista but when booting with that DVD, and reach the window to repair, it reports it is unable to repair the startup. (Every thing stops) Only access OS X with DVD in drive. Attemted this 2 times with same results. Unable to access MBR to fix after installs.

So Last night I installed Xp then Upgraded to Vista. Then down loaded and installed easyBCD.

The question is what should be the next step? I seem to be missing some thing. I would like to make some head way from this point forward with out repeating the error.

Any suggestions?

FYI, Testing to ensure OS X would work, I was able upfront, format and install the OS X on a formatted drive. only did not have Wireless & LAN access. (Work on this after i get the dual booting figured out) But OS X will work on this PC.

I need both Win Vista and OS X. I use Vista for various CAD 3D products of which MAC is not supported. At the same time i want to use MAC OS X to uswe Apples SDK for developing iTouch Appllications. (Needs OS X to use Apples SDK)

Any solutions out there?
