Jedric Posted June 26, 2008 Share Posted June 26, 2008 OK I got a new WD5000AAKS to replace my ST3500630AS as its so noisy. I have installed Leopard literally about 50 times now on the WD5000AAKS. Leopard installs fine no problem but everytime I install ilife, iworks etc. without fail I always get "codec overrun" or the appl install will fail. To prove that its the WD5000AAKS, I wiped out my ST3500630AS and did a clean install and no problem. Any suggestions? Now I have 2 HD to RMA. Did anybody RMA thier ST3500630AS because of the noise problem, mine sometime have it even if the PC is idle? I went to Apple store yesterday and I saw that the MAC PRO's were using the same HD.
