lerico
Hi guys, I need some help... :-( I have a Kalaway 10.5.2 upgraded to 10.5.3, only customization was AppleSMOBIOS from mac.nub. System running vanilla 9.3.0 kernel. Everything is fine... Sleep works, Video card works, CS3... etc etc... The only problem now is... both "About this mac" and "Activity Monitor" shows that I have only one core. My BIOS correctly shows that I have a core 2 duo processor with 2 cores. I have Speedstep disabled in BIOS. Anybody know how to fix it? Model Name: iMac Model Identifier: iMac7,1 Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz Number Of Processors: 0 <-------- Total Number Of Cores: 1 <------- L2 Cache: 2 MB Memory: 3 GB Bus Speed: 800 MHz Boot ROM Version: IM71.007A.B01 Serial Number: CK034KMHK5B ----------- Motherboard: Asus P5LD-VM Processor: Core 2 Duo E4600 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/112638-only-one-core-from-a-core-2-duo-cpu/ Share on other sites
lerico
Ok... now if i boot with "cpus=2", i get the two cores... Now... the problem is, I have apple bluetooth keyboard, which doesn't work until OSX loaded up. Is there any way I can "hard-code" this kernel flag somewhere so that it starts up with "cpus=2" every single time? pmcnano
sure, open /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/apple.boot.plist (something like that ) under kernel flags you just put the cpus=2 and you are done =P Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/112638-only-one-core-from-a-core-2-duo-cpu/#findComment-797202 Share on other sites
