celticpride34
Hey all, finally gotten my system the way I like it. Although im running of a external sata, its got 180Gigs, is fast as hell, and has amazing performance. i havent done any tests as of yet, but i can tell its faster and more reliable than Xp. Yayyy Mac. Anyways, one think i was wondering about was, is there a way to map the ctrl button, so that it works as the command button? That way instead of having to go to the menu, and do edit, copy, we could just do control c and v ala windows. Its just a lot faster you know...My next question is do we have to edit a kext or something to get the dvds to play. Im not talking about using vlc, but using apples stock program. And im not inquiring so that i can actually watch them, but i use fast burn dvd copy (great prog) and it copys ps2 games like its a sin (well technically...) but when i try and copy a dvd movie, it just shuts down. ANy ideas? I just know if i can figure out how to get the apple dvd player working, it would probably work. kemosabe
you can do this by going into system preferences. clicking on keyboard & mouse. click keyboard. click modifier keys. change command to control and control to command. although, mine just randomly started reverting to default after every restart fo some reason Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/11261-mapping-ctrl-key-to-command-dvd-decoder-question/#findComment-70639 Share on other sites
