nashlib
hi guys, i am one sooper noob who read extensively on getting mac os x on my beloved(!?!) PC just to make it good - also im a musician who wanted Logic PRO so had to use this method. 1st: to all who have decided to embark on this journey --- be warned - it is an effort - but really worth it. 2.Download Leo4All V3 - it the best yet 3.Burn it on the DVD-RW or DVD-R using an image writer - i used 120% Alcohol. 4.Decide if u wanna Dual Boot or Stand Alone MAC OS X ur computer. 5.If u wanna dual boot - get Acronis Disk Director 8 (please use torrent to get a nice working one with working keys) 6.Go on You Tube and search for installation guide for leo4all and u get to see a few videos for the installation process - familiarize urselves on the steps u need to do and what u need to avoid....if u wanna dual boot there are a few videos with acronis and a few without acronis - i like acronis all though i read some forum discouraging use of acronis. u make the choice acronis works like a charm for me. 7.There will be step where u have the option to customize ur installation. - this is the really eeky part - so KNOW UR SYSTEM VERY VERY VERY WELL ( really i'm telling u from experience coz i installed all the files but had a lot of issues and had to iron out each of the issues seperately leading to 7 re-installs) so go to windows device manager and write down the driver names so that u know which to select or atleast the closest u can select during installation. 8. So know ur system very well - for instance Install only the vanilla kernel for Intel users (both 9.0.0 and 9.2.2 worked fine for me) 9.My realtek HD audio driver was ALC 888 and it worked out of the box once i specifically knew that - previously i had to fish around for solutions 10. Best not to install the network drivers in the initial install u can do them later after u get ur OS running 11.Graphic card driver too - i had it easy coz i had a buit-in gfx card but for other card my friends seem to have trouble and had to visit the forums many times - so u have the choice of not installing it initially. 12.Once u get the OS working u can search for solution for network cards and the rest. I know this i mainly descriptive and not steps - but i thought this would be a pointer to all the noobs like me who had no idea what was going on in the forums as there were really really reallly long and exhaustive - for me. enjoy guys - u will never wanna go back to windows once u got the hang of mc os if u can get a nice slim white/silver key board - a mac look alike mouse and a nice 19 or 21'' white couloured monitor and a slim white CPU box instead or tower with a nice apple logo on it - viola - a new hackintosh is born :::::: this part is my next mission making my comp look like mac as well not just work like one some may argue - "go get a mac man" ----- thanks guys --- fund me ---- i will send u roses. nash Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/112570-v3-for-noobs/ Share on other sites
