nintenno
so i got my hackintosh running, and it works fine. I have vanilla kernel, but i never decided to turn on AHCI until yeterday, since i heard there were issues with 10.5.3 So i turned it on, and everything started to work. I installed the drivers for it to. But now, by SATA Lite-On DVDRW LH-20A1L has an issue. After a while of use, the system seems to forget about it. When i press my eject button or go through the finder menu, it just turns blue and nothing happens; the drive never opens. THe only way to get it to open is to manually put a paper clip in the reset hole, then it gets recognized.I updated my BIOS to F8f and the disk firmware, but it still gets "forgotten". any suggestions? BTW, i used Leo4all v3 and the apple update via the netkas method. I also have Chameleon installed, if that helps. critic81
That's wierd. I have the same motherboard with 10.5.3 and version f6 and I don't get that issue. Maybe it could be your burner? nintenno
ok, i used a link that was in a guide for a DVD burner. The thing is, with AHCI off it works fine. Edit: it was in the guide for this board, which i have.
