Arise
Hi. I've spent about 5 hours, trying to figure out how to format to a HFS+ system file. After a lot of google-ing, I came across Parted Magic, a tool that "seems" to be able to create HFS+ system files. Download the ISO from this FTP site I've found, burn it on a CD/DVD and ... try to see if it works. Link: http://ftp.vein.hu/pub/CDROM-Images/parted.../pmagic-1.9.iso (more stuff: http://ftp.vein.hu/pub/CDROM-Images/partedmagic/) Note: First I tried with the latest version, 2.2 but that didn't worked. HFS+ was disabled. Seems only 1.9 version works, so you should give it a try. P.S. Not very sure if this tool formats the partition to a true HFS+, but you can give it a try. Post here if you get positive results. Thanks.
Mac Boy
Yes, it does work! I successfully created an hfs+ partition. The only thing I had to do manually was to edit the partition table and set the type to AF.
