Coyote711
Hey Everyone I Am Very Thankful For The osX86 Project, You Guys Are Great! Now To My Problem... I Have A Gateway T-1625 Notebook Computer, 2048MB DDR2 SDRAM, a 250GB 5400 RPM SATA hard drive, and ATI Radeon X1270 Graphics. I Have Downloaded iATKOS 1.0i and My Computer Boots It. I Make It All The Way To The "Select Which Hard Drive To Install Into" and There Is Nothing There, I Searched And Found Disk Utility and There Is No Hard Drive Listed, The Only Thing That It Detects Is iDisk and The Install CD Itself. I Dont Know What To Do and May Have To Go Back To Vista . Please, Please Help Me, I Am Pretty Computer Literate So Any Questions I Can Probably Answer, Any Ideas I Can Try. Thanks Again and Keep Up The Good Work! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/112104-help-installing-mac-os-x-on-gateway-amd/ Share on other sites
jy371
I had had the same issue as you as my first Hackintoch trial on Gateway GM5457H desktop. I would suggest you to try other distributions, for example, Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD. Read the instruction from the forum carefully and be persistent. Enjoy!! iambored8907
So Coyote did you get it to work? I have the same exact laptop and cannot get it to boot. It installed fine (I used the latest Leo4All release), but I get stuck "Still waiting for root device". I believe it is since it is setup with sata enabled, but my bios cannot change it. It boots fine from the dvd, but not without. Is there a way to make a bootloader cd?
