compluva199
Hi, ive been having kernel panics in 10.5.2 usually when i try some cpu intensive excersizes, ie copying files from my camera to the computer or rendering something in final cut or motion. my sig says speedstep kernel, but ive been installing with kalyway disc, and ive tried 9.2 sleep kernel, 92 nforce, vanilla_922, 9.2.2_kabyl. Some of them have worked, but yielded thwe same issue, and others have not worked at all ( most likely becasue they just shouldnt have been tried with my specs) if anyone has any ideas, i would be very appreciative. thanks in advance! EDIT: If i break up the load of pictures, nie instead of ransferring 400, i ransfer 100 in four section, it doesnt kernel panic every time, but it still does it occasionally. The same goes with rendering. if i razorblade up a section of video in final cut, i can render each of them seperatley and have no kp, but im sure theres some fix. Hope some of that helps. Thanks in advance. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/111908-kernel-panics-in-1052/ Share on other sites
shanemca
I'm getting something similar in 10.5.3 (Kalyway 10.5.1 then a custom updater to 10.5.3 I found on this fourm). I thought at first it was the kernel (9.3.0), but after trying 9.2.2 and 9.2.0 it still does it. I've got a few more thing's I want to try today so I'll post back with more info on my system and what I've tried later on. I'm tempted to just go back to 10.5.2 but would like to get the latest working... compluva199
how similar. what exactley happens in your issues? I first thought it could be the USB, driver, but the rendering errors force me to think otherwise. And yes, please post back. I appreciate it.
