I did a patched 10.4.5 install last weekend and booted up just fine. The onboard audio and NIC don't work, but plugged in my Netgear wg511t (has an aetheros chip) and got it working on en1. Firewire and USB ports work great. Plugged in my Firewire 410 and installed the M-Audio drivers for 10.4.4 and it works like a charm. Integrated Ricoh SD card reader works great. Only annoying thing is the onboard video card is an Nvidia 6600 go. Can only get the res up to 1280x1024. Anybody else have this notebook and get the NIC or onboard audio to work?

I am on the Z71v with 10.4.6, and the way I got 1280x1024 was by following the directions on this page here: http://www.nedprod.com/Niall_stuff/MacOS%20X/index.html and it worked. Another guy got his audio to work by following nedprod's directions for AC97 Audio, but it didn't work for me. Also, I can't get the wifi to work (2915).

For those who say they have there sound working, does your headphone jack work too? My laptop speakers work right away with no tweaking, but when I plug something into the headphone jack, no sound comes out, but it does cut out the laptop speakers.

During the install, right before clicking the "Install" button, you first must click the "Customize" button (to the left of the Install button). In Customize, you must select packages for your computer under the Patches item. Click the little arrow to the left of Patches to reveal the individual packages.
