Dr. Watz0n
I kind of didn't understand that, but I will try and help anyway. First off, maybe there is an issue with your settings file from your previous OS X install. What is it stored on? An iPod, External HD, etc.? What I would do is this. Boot from your OS X DVD and go to Disk Utility (under Utilities). Select your main hard drive (and if you don't want to save anything, otherwise back it up), and go to Partition. Create two partitions (format one as HFS+/Mac OS X Journaled) of whatever sizes you want, and click Partition. Now, install OS X to the HFS+ partition. Then, go to your BIOS and set it to boot from a DVD (the Vista one). Now, with the Vista installed, select the unpartitioned space (should show up as Unused Space or something like that), and install Vista to that partition. That SHOULD allow you to have two installs. If your BIOS won't let you select how to boot, edit the 'boot.ini' file in Windows (see here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/289022).
