idagon Posted June 20, 2008 Share Posted June 20, 2008 Hi All, I just installed Kalyway 10.5.1 on my Dell 9300 laptop, everything went smooth (selected sse2, mbr, and nvidia laptop drivers at install) after the install i have 1920x1200 resolution, no lockups or reboots, i installed the iw2200 wireless drivers, and the wireless works great. I installed WOW on it and while playing everything is in slow motion, so I think there is no video hardware acceleration. How do I get hardware acceleration working? I tried to upgrade to 10.5.2 with combo update which was fine but after installing the vanilla kernel got continuous reboots so reloaded 10.5.1 Dell 9300 Laptop coreduo 2.0ghz 7800gtx 256mb ram 2 gigs ram intel 2200 wireless Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Red Leader Posted June 22, 2008 Share Posted June 22, 2008 look here for similar problem resolved : http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...;p=763484 you just need to enter the correct ID for your 7800GTX you can find the ID in the hardware profile panel (graphics card/monitors-> vendor /peripheral ID should be something like 0x10de0099 if you resinstall with leao4allv3 you can have 10.5.2 it works with some little issues, so maybe you can stay with 10.5.1 kalyway eithetr way you first install w/o any video options then you use zephyroth nvidia installer, and then you enter the correct 7800GTX ID in the plists.
