whereismyipod
This is for my XPS 400, in Windows the sound card driver is "STAC 92XX". Everything that my computer has seems to be working now. I hope this helps someone. Here is what I did following this tutorial, and here is my codec dump: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...c=74937&hl= 1. used Ubuntu (you can use Knoppix just like the tutorial says) to get my sound card info 2. saved the text file to my usb drive, kind of like the tut says. 3. rebooted into OSX. 4. I copied the text file from my usb drive to my desktop 5. I used this patcher: AppleHDAPatcher_v1.16 (it was the only one i could find, maybe i'm not looking in the right place) 6. I rebooted, and bam! I got sound. I am attaching the codec dump to this message. STAC9221_codec_dump.txt
