Restarts during dvd bootup

Hey i wanted to see if my emachine T2542 that i got from a friend could run Kalyway, but when i put in the dvd it boots up gives me the choice of pushing any key or f8 and after a while it just restarts on me while loading i get the "/com.apple.boot.plist" not found error if i let the 8 second count down go by itself, but i can see it loading stuff if i hit f8 and do -v or even if i just hit enter it gives a little loading bar type thing.

 

the compuer is a Emachine T2542 with

2.5gigahertz celeron

512mb of DDR ram

40 gig IDE harddrive

IDE dvd drive

onboard graphics intel 845G--- if i remember correctly

 

I have tried reburning the disk, doing -v and i see most of the stuff load and it restarts, and -x or -f or -s doesn't help

i have turned off usb, serial port, parallel port, audio and network, and nothing has helped

 

any suggestions?

 

also the cpu does support SSE2
