koadansc
Hi, I am trying to install Leopard 10.5.2 on a Compaq Presario X1000(Intel Centrino Mobile, ATI Radeon Mobility 9200). Using Kalyway's 10.5.2 I get the grey Apple screen and an infinitely spinning wheel. I found a video of a guy from Chile who is running 10.5.2 on his x1000 but can not contact him. Booting in -v gives the following message: npvhash=4095 hi mem tramps at 0xffe00000 PAE enabled enabling INTEL features Darwin Kernel Version 9.2.0: Tue Feb 26......; made by ToH:xnu-1228/BUILD/obj/Release_I386 vm_page_bootstrap: 319719 free pages and 7961 wired pages mig_table_max_displ = 79 Local APIC discovered and enabled Extension "com.apple.drive.AppleACPIPlatform" has immediate dependencies on both com.apple.kernel and com.apple.kpi components; use only one style enabling SSE3 emulator...OK! ultramarinus55
I'm not sure how relevant this answer would be (because I have an LG R405) but, I did encounter the same thing you had. What solved my problem was updating to 10.5.3 using the kalyway upgrade package (found somewhere on the internet 8-) ) What worked: You can boot in if you have an external monitor connected Another way (without external monitor): log in with safe mode using the -x flag, it should work albeit resolution stuck at 1024x768 From then on, go online and download the kalyway upgrade package, apply! and cross your fingers!
