xenos^2
Ok hi everyone, i have a GA-P35-DS4, trying to install Kalyway_10.5.2_DVD_Intel_Amd Now I dont have a Mac at the moment, im not really familiar with much mac stuff but I am pretty good at Windows side of it.. I sell my time as an IT support guy whilst not studying so hopefully this isnt an impossible task!! The problem I am having is in the pictures below, please could you explain a what I need to do, I cannot find any help relating to this problem elsewhere. I am trying to make a dualboot with Vista 64, and I have patched my image with the recently released JMicron patch. Relevant Specs: GA-P35-DS4 Rev 2.0 Bios F11, Using Orange Intel SATA ports (ICH9R Raid) Disk setup 3x Samsung HD322HJ RAID 0 AHCI, ~740GB NTFS (Vista x64 SP1) ~140GB (FAT32, soon to be Mac) IDE CABLE NEC DVD-RW on JMicron Controller AHCI Mode Thanks for any help. 1123
I had that problem once when first booting the setup disc. It ended up being a bad burn of the dvd-ISO. I burned a new disc and install proceeded OK. This might not be your issue, but worth a try. I'd also do a checksum on the ISO for safe measure. xenos^2
Wow, well I thought that there was only a slim chance of this working but it did!! Thanks so much!! I have now a seperate issue to do with my RAID array, the Hard Drive Boot Utility doesnt seem to recognise my RAID 0 array or see the FAT32 Partition I have made for Mac to install to. All it can see is my hard disks and dvd rw. Notes about success so far: Remember to unplug anything unneccessary (USB stuff). Set everything to AHCI mode. Get and apply the JMicron patch (thank you Lord!) Burn a high quality CD-R below its rated speed. Burn using NERO and verify the disk, NOT some {censored} homemade writing software. Thanks for the help so far... I have attached a screenshot of my current problem, there should be a 140GB partition that the mac partition utlity cant see, it recognises a FAT partition but incorrectly thinks its the whole size of one of my disks. Specific settings for the hard disk would be cool, do I need to install osx before vista? Thanks everyone..
