Hello, after searching for a few hours last night. Then trying many different .kext files, editing and what not. I decided to bite the bullet and hope that someone could help me specifically.

I have a developers compatible motherboard (I believe). It is an ASUS P5GD1. I installed 10.4.3 8F1099 and all hardware worked natively. Full specs are:

ASUS P5GD1-VM Motherboard

Intel Pentium 4 630 - 3.0 ghz

512 MB DDR RAM

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900

Intel Pro 10/100 LAN

Realtek ALC861 Sound

etc.

My problem, like I said, is that neither my LAN or Sound work after upgrading. I followed Maxxus instructions and backed up all my 10.4.3 .kext files, so those are available to me. The full working 10.4.3 install is gone though. Under Audio in the System Profiler it says: No Built-In Audio. Under Network it says:

Built-In Ethernet

Type: Ethernet

Hardware: Ethernet

BSD Device name: en0

IPv4 Addresses: 192.168.15.45

IPv4:

Adresses: 192.168.15.45

Configuration Method: Manual

Router: 192.168.15.1

Subnet Masks: 255.255.255.0

IPv6:

Configuration Method: Automatic

DNS:

Server Adresses: 192.168.15.1

I don't think the proxies are important at this point.

Anyways, it confuses me because it looks like it has an address. Of course it didn't recognize the card as anything other than Built-In Ethernet. I have also tried disabling the LAN and Sound in BIOS, rebooting, then enabling them again. It says on the HCL that my LAN and Sound should work, without patching.

Please help!!!

Also, Under System Preferences-Network, It says The cable for the Built-In Ethernet is not plugged in.

I have followed the instrutions in this post:

http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?showtopic=10213

They did not work, however, I noticed that the AppleAzaliaAudio.kext says that it has dependency errors:

com.apple.iokit.IOHDAudioFamily: No valid version of this dependency can be found
