alter ego
Hi. First of all i'm from finland so i dont understand all tricky word you might use but i will ask if i dont know. Ok, here is my problem. I installed Leo4AllV3, everything went fine until it reboot my computer and started to boot. It gives an error "Still waiting for root device." I have read so many posts about this problem but maybe because my bad english and my first time with MAC i dont know all words. My computer specs: Motherboard: Asus A8N Sli Se CPU: Amd Athlon 64 3500+ Graphiccard: 6600GT Memory: 1gb Mouse: USB Mouse Keyboard: PS2-connector(?) keyboard I have 40GB hard disk on this computer. In bios it shows it as Primary IDE Master and my DVD Drive is Secondary IDE Master (i'm not sure about the dvd drive but if i remember right it was secondary ide master). I have tried to put hard disk and dvd drive jumpers to every place but it wont make any effect. I have also tried to take the dvd drive away and boot only with hard disk but nothing changes, same error keeps coming. So what i wish is instructions that would help me (a finnish guy who uses MAC as operating system first time) to solve this problem and give a touch to mac based system's world. Thanks. -alter ego Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/111197-need-some-extra-help-with-still-waiting-for-root-device/ Share on other sites
nour
First, go to your bios and modify sata mode to IDE. Then install the kext from this link http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?act...st&id=28825 restart your computer then switch sata mode to AHCI and reboot. good luck Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/111197-need-some-extra-help-with-still-waiting-for-root-device/#findComment-789898 Share on other sites
