newsn31 Posted June 17, 2008 Share Posted June 17, 2008 so i finally got mac installed by replacing the dvd drive to ide and getting another ide hard drive. using customized install from the kalyway disc i got most of the things that i needed to work correctly only things that arent working are the ethernet ports and the processor is labeled unknown in about this mac the processor is a core 2 quad q6600 and the ethernet card is onboard a ultra nforce 680i slt motherboard so can anyone point me in the right direction as to how i fix this? thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/111124-ethernet-and-processor-problems/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
newsn31 Posted June 17, 2008 Author Share Posted June 17, 2008 so...i got the ethernet ports to be detected using the marvell kext file installed with kext helper b7 but now the computer crashes everytime i start safari up. i can tell it is working because it loads the page so yea anyone know what is going on? should try firefox?
