limini Posted June 16, 2008 Share Posted June 16, 2008 I'm looking to build a new more powerful system for OSX86 based on a quad processor and I'm looking for a supremely compatible but more recent motherboard. I'd like to repeat my experiences with Tiger and the Asus P5W DH, where it was 95% compatible OOB (minus sound). But honestly, I was just flat out lucky: when I installed OSX86 it just so happened that my components were compatible. Is there a chart or cross-reference where we can find out which Intel chipsets are being used in Intel Macs? That would be a good way of guaging compatability. Any "Magic Mobos" out there?
