Gelakinetic
Hi all! I have a near perfect installation on my machine. I used iATKOS 2.0i and Mysticus' 10.5.3 update. My hardware is in the sig, if anyone is curious. I say nearly perfect because when I go to see specs from within OS X, it claims that I have a Core 2 Solo @ 2.66 instead of a Core 2 Duo. Now, it still runs pretty snappy, and I'm not complaining, but can anyone tell me where one of my cores ran off to? Also, my IDE DVD drive doesn't show up when I put a disk in, but my SATA one works fine. Peculiar since I could only install on my IDE hard drive and not the SATA one. Thanks for all the help in advance, and I'd like to say that these forums (and the people who post) were so incredibly helpful installing Leopard. Thanks guys/gals! -Gelakinetic
mrbonkers
to check if 1 or 2 cores are working, go to applications, utility, activity monitor and check the graph
Gelakinetic
Thanks for the tip. So in Activity Monitor, I see my two cores chugging away beautifully. Under "about this mac" it still claims Core 2 Solo. I would have never thought OS X would lie to me... BUt I guess this means all is well. Thanks xfidelity!
