Synaesthesia Posted June 14, 2008 Share Posted June 14, 2008 Yeah, you can patch your Leopard disk. There are many guides, the first was the Brazilmac method. Here is a good discussion from our forums... However, as far as I know, you need to have OS X installed to do the patching! (or you can use a Mac). If there's a way to patch from windows, I don't know where it is. The easiest is of course to download a prepatched DVD, if you can make the download. I hope you have compatible hardware though...check the Hardware compatibility lists on the OSx86 wiki. A recent development: A company has announced that they will be selling a USB stick with EFI-x which will let you install OS X from the retail disk straight onto your PC! Check it out here.
