cfon
I have tried my hardest to get QE running on my IBM T41. I have read through as many of the articles on the forum, and have added my Device ID to ATIRadeon.9700 ATIRadeon.8500 and ATIRadeon. When I run kextstat, it shows that ATIRadeon.8500 is loaded. System profile shows the following. Type: VGA-Compatible Controller Bus: PCI VRAM (Total): 128 MB Vendor: ATI (0x1002) Device ID: 0x4c66 Revision ID: 0x0002 Displays: Display: Resolution: 1280 x 1024 Depth: 32-bit Color Core Image: Not Supported Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Quartz Extreme: Not Supported I could really use some suggestions. Thanks. (running 10.4.5 with the latest security patches if that matters) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/11057-ibm-t41/ Share on other sites

Thinkbook user
I've tried too. I even edited the kext binaries to detect the Radeon 7500. I think its a lost cause. Although I did have a question. How do I make the computer run at full speed while booting up on a battery?
