Hello! First of all sorry for my English

Ok, this is my firs post here, but im here since about one year xD

Ok, I remember I installed a tiger 10.4.7 jas on my PC long time ago, and now I'm triying to install a lepard 10.5.2 (Maybe Zephiroth's, mayby Leo's, dont know yet...) I did a lot of triyings with the tiger and now i don't want to spend 1000 hours on the screen.

I have been reading about the efi, wich souds cool, but i don´t belive a lot on it, after all the kexts problems will be still there no?

I´m asking my self if I can make my own Leopard image with all the kext integrated on it? Maybe with the efi too?

My computer is a AMD X2 4400+ 939 with sse2 and sse3, chipset nForce4 with an extra sata controller (SiliconImage) , 2Gb ddr, 8800GTS and some ide and sata HD's.

So i downloaded the forcedepht.kext for my mobo, DPCI manager to manage the ID's and two 10.5.2 images.

My question is: Can I make a perfect instalation with all the kexts and make a backup of the partition for a future system recovery or similar procesess? Or can I create my own personalized image? What do I need for this process?

I installed TransMac, but can´t see any kext file on my leopard image... Do i need to install my old tiger to compile it?

I wan't to have an stable Leopard OS on my machine and finally leave the &%(/&"Q/$"·%?"·&/(/·$!!!! XP Pro...

Thanks for all!

P.D:I leave here a pic of a happy moment of my live, when i installed the tiguer :D

Yes, you can make a perfect installation and make a backup of it. Though I'm not 100% sure how you can the first thought I have is to make a restorative DMG of your install using disc utility or maybe using Time Machine to back up the hard drive totally. Once again though I'm not 100% sure if that's correct but maybe someone else can tell you.

Now about making a personalized image, that much I'm not sure. I do know that over at Zephyroth's wiki they have a how-to about injecting Kexts into a Leopard DVD. That MIGHT be helpful.

And lastly, what motherboard are you using?

Good Luck

I installed a Kalway 10.5.2 image successfully. SATA not working and USB not fine at all... I tried with the forcedebht kext but nothing. But it looks stable and fast :)

Do anybody know if I can intall and efi on to this system? Or do I have to install a new one?

Thaks!
