Spursboy Liv
Hi there. Seeing as I have failed in my attempts to find a solution for my USB ethernet adapter, I decided to pull a PCI card out of an older computer and insert it in my computer specifically for use with my Kalyway system - 3Com Etherlink XL PCI (3C900-COMBO). I was aware that 3Com adapters were generally compatible with Hackintosh systems but the card fails to be detected properly by my Kalyway 10.5.2 system, and in verbose mode I keep on seeing these lines, which I assume, indicates a problem: Apple3Com3c90x mapHardwareRegister failed Apple3Com3c90xB mapHardwareRegister failed If someone could give me a solution or any relevant information regarding this problem, it will be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance (I have typed up some of my system configuration below if it helps). Kind regards, Livio. Mac OS X Leopard "Kalyway" 10.5.2 EFI 8.0 w/ Sleep kernel and SSE2 patches. iMaik
If it helps I've experienced this exact same problem on my Kalyway 10.5.2 install on a Dell Precision 690 using the kalbykernel and a 3C905 CX-TX-M (device ID 9200).
