mac_youth
Hey, i stupidly updated my iAtkos installation from 10.5.2 to 10.5.3 after hearing somewhere that you can do this with one of kernels (anyone know which one? obviously not mine) It won't boot, i do -v and it tells me "jnl: unknown-dev: journal start/end reset" (or something similar) and then package 0 didn't get an HPET over and over again I know there's a heap of threads out there with this already, i've already moved around some of my kexts and removed them such appleintelpowermanagement.kext but still no luck, it says the "....an HPET" and then after does a kernal panic (i'm not sure exactly what this is....) anyone know how i can fix this without having to reinstall and re-format? Anything at all, i've got complete access to the files as i'm triple booting with XP and Ubuntu and have MacDrive on my XP partition. Thanks in advance! mac_youth
thanks, but no can do. To get a prompt up i have to boot with -s -v -x, even then i can type but can't get aything in because Package 0 didn't get an HPET keeps popping up and blocking me so i can't type anything at all. Any other ideas? I can edit any kext file by using MacDrive on my windows partition... edit: what i said before, about it the package 0 didn't get an HPET coming up after the journal start/end reset--that has changed, it now says stuff about appleVIAATA.kext and my SATA any ideas?
