Emilian
Hello! I'm new around here... in this morning I heard about this forum. I'm also new in the MAC OS world. Ok let's start... I'm sick of the micro$hit monopoly and I wanna try something else, something new, something that brings inovation, like MAC OS Now on my computer are installed 3 operating system, 2 windows and one linux... and I wanna try mac for a while. I have the following configuration: MSI P35 NEO2-FR, Socket 775 Kit Dual Channel Corsair TWIN2X 2x1024MB DDR2, 800MHz BFG GeForce 8800GTS OC, 512MB DDR3 Antec Minitower, sursa EA-380 Intel Core 2 Duo E8200, 2.66GHz, socket 775 HDD Western Digital Caviar SE16 500GB, 7200rpm, 16MB, SATA2 DVD Writer LG Super Multi GSA-H55NRBB I want to know if is possible to install on this configuration MACOS X 10.5.1 and keep the ntfs partitions (not operating system partitions... just data partitions like D:\ E:\ F:\ drives). I have enough free space to install it, but I can't afford to lose all data from my hard drive. It's posible to install it on that configuration because I saw on a forum that it doesn't have support for IDE J-MICRON controller (and my MSI mainboard have this controller) because my dvd-rw is IDE (I also had problems with that in starting linux live cd's because after they boot from IDE Drive they doesn't find any media on my dvd drive... I saw that in Kubuntu 8.04 the developers fixed this problem). Please give me advices and tips how can I install Leopard 10.5.1 OS on my computer. I don't know much things about MAC, but I'm opened learning. Thank You, Emilian Serbanescu PS: Sorry for my informal language...
