bigplrbear
Hello all! I'm wanting to get Mac OS X on my computer. Preferably Leopard, but if there's a compatible Tiger build I don't mind using that. Here are my machines specs- Compaq Presario SR1620NX Amd Sempron 3400+ processor @ 2.0ghz. Has 64-bit, SSE2 and SSE3. 512Mb of DDR 400 RAM DVD+/-RW drive 2 hard drives- stock 160gb hard disk split up into partitions for my musc, linux, and swap space. Added a 20gb hard drive for Mac OS X (but is currently blank). Microsoft Wireless USB mouse Stock PS/2 keyboard 2 or 3 firewire 1394 ports Card reader ATI Radeon Xpress 200 graphics card w/64mb of shared memory Realtek AC97 audio card. It's a pretty cheap machine I got in November 2006, but it meets all of the minimum requirements for Leopard. As far as my graphics card goes, I don't really care if I get acceleration or not. I'm using a pretty old monitor anyways, so I'll be happy if I get a 1024x768 resolution. I'm so sorry to bother all of you but I don't know what build to get off of the internet! There's just so many! oh and if this post violates any rules, go ahead and delete it and/or move it to the appropriate section Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/110059-what-would-be-the-best-build-of-mac-os-x86-for-my-machine/ Share on other sites
