SwissArmySpoon
Hello All, I just installed JaS OS X 10.4.6 on my Acer Aspire 9300 (specs in sig), and I have gotten better results with this disk than any other one I tried (Kalyway 10.5.x, iAtkos 10.5.x), as they always left me with a Chain Booting Error after install. After installing JaS, I copied the Chain0 to my C: drive, and edited my boot.ini file. Now when I boot onto my C: Drive I am given the choice between Windows XP Media Center and OS x86. I choose OS x86 and it brings me to the Darwin Bootloader, which gives me the choice between my Backup partition (disk0s1), my windows partition (disk0s2), and my OS X Partition (disk0s4). I choose OS X, and regardless of whether I give it special options (-f, -x, -s, etc.), it quickly loads "HFS+ files" and then gives me a screen which reads: panic(cpu 0 caller 0x0019C352): Unresolved Kernel trap (CPU 0, Type 0=divide error), registers: CR0: 0x80010011, CR2: 0x00000000, CR3: 0x0186c000, CR4: 0x000000a0 EAX: 0x00000002, EBX: 0x00000002, ECX: 0x0044b8e0, EDX: 0x00000000 ESP: 0x00107e18, EBP: 0x00107e54, ESI: 0x00000000, EDI: 0x000fee00 EFL: 0x00010046, EIP: 0x0019309f, CS : 0x00000008, DS : 0x00000010 Debugger called: <panic> Backtrace, Format - Frame: Return Address (4 Potential args on stack) **Under this there are 11 lines that begin with 0x107XXX where the X's are different numbers /letters** Kernel Version: Darwin Kernel Version 8.4.1: Tue Jan 3 18:23:53 PST 2006; root: xnu-792.7.90.obj~1/RELEASE_I386 Does anyone have any advice? I am also using Smart Boot Manager before the Windows bootloader to select where I boot from. Thanks in advance for your help!
