ihavenoclue
i installed leopard over again earlier today with the vanilla boot kernel and everything is working. i'm wondering if my computer can run pc efi. i've researched and haven't found anything so that's why i'm asking. my computer is a hp pavilion dv6000t with an intel celeron M 440 1.86 ghz processor, 2 gigabytes of ram, and an intel 945 gm/gu graphics card. could i run pc efi with this hardware? Hill Beast
As far as I've read, all you need is an Intel CPU, and an Intel chipset. You have both, so probably yes. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/109900-pc-efi/#findComment-779037 Share on other sites
Slinger2g
If you are running a Vanilla kernel, it's more than likely you have PC_EFI already loading... Do a verbose(-v) boot at the Darwin prompt and look for a bunch of text to flash just before you reach the Apple splash screen.... ~Sling Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/109900-pc-efi/#findComment-779078 Share on other sites
