adlep
Can not get the build in Ethernet installed under 10.4.4 OSX just refuses to recognize the chip. According to wiki, My Moterboard should work fine, at least under 10.4.3 http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/HCL_10.4.3 My motherboard is MSI 915GLM-V I have attempted to copy the IONetworkingFamily.kext from 10.4.3 to my 10.4.4 installation, to no available... Then usual sudo chmod -R755 sudo chown - R root:wheel Is there anything else I could do? Can I load the driver manually? Help... Edit: Had a spare Realtek 8139 NIC laying around. Installed it, yet it is still not being detected under 10.4.4 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/10987-problems-with-build-in-realtek-8100c-networking/ Share on other sites
adlep
Edit2: I will try to install the 10.4.3 first to see if it is going to detect my NIC. adlep
Hi Skater... This is weird as my 8100 works fine under 10.4.3... It would not load at all in 10.4.4. Game of chance I guess Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/10987-problems-with-build-in-realtek-8100c-networking/#findComment-74321 Share on other sites

cmstar
Has anyone got this to work? Sorry, I'm a noob. I've looked and can't find any good info on this particular card. I have a Biostar P4M800M7A motherboard with onboard Realtek RLT8100C ethernet card. Everything works except networking. judicator
there is a fix for this somewhere in these forums.. I used to have it but I lost it, it's been a while since I've had Tiger on my system.. with much luck i'm sure we can find it again.. hopefully no one has closed the topic... it's a simple .kext file with a terminal command Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/10987-problems-with-build-in-realtek-8100c-networking/#findComment-628146 Share on other sites
