btangonan
I tried searching for threads on this problem, but it's a difficult topic to put into search terms. My problem is that about half of the time when I boot into Leopard 10.5.2 (Kalyway install) both my mouse and keyboard don't work. If they don't work on any given start up, they work 100% when the computer is restarted. Neither of them are plugged into a USB port. What's going on here? Any ideas? bazz38
I'm having exactly the same problem. Most of the times it's my keyboard that's down.. It seems to be related to either AppleACPIPlatform.kext or AppleAPIC.kext. Fortunately it's not that bad, but i'd like to see it fixed. Anyone? juuva
Did you guys ever get a fix for this? Agreed, putting this into search terms is hard, and what it brings up is a lot of people asking the same question without a solution reply! Problem has been frustrating me for ages... PS2 and USB doing the same thing, keyboard only works 50% of the time. juuva
Fixed my issue... Have an MS keyboard and an MS wireless mouse, both USB. I deleted the PS2 files in the kernel extensions directory... Assuming they are not a 'natural' part of a vanilla install and were put there by Kalyway to get PS2 working. 50 reboots later, not a single random keyboard not working boot. Suggest USB keyboard / mouse and deleting PS2 files to anyone still having this issue.
