Bxcrracers
I was wondering if there were any programs that would allow me to create a startup disk, that would allow me to boot from an external CD/DVD drive (USB). In my bios i have the startup options: CD-ROM LAN FDD and HDD, i don't have a floppy drive, so i didn't know if the FDD was a USB boot. Any help is greatly appreaciated. thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/109760-help-how-to-boot-from-external-dvdcd-drive/ Share on other sites

ihavenoclue
did you try just plugging in the drive to the usb port and booting up your computer to the boot list and see if the drive showed up? if your bios will allow you to boot from a usb device it should show it in the boot options list when you start up your computer(when you have it plugged in).did you try just plugging in the drive to the usb port and booting up your computer to the boot list and see if the drive showed up? if your bios will allow you to boot from a usb device it should show it in the boot options list when you start up your computer(when you have it plugged in).did you try just plugging in the drive to the usb port and booting up your computer to the boot list and see if the drive showed up? if your bios will allow you to boot from a usb device it should show it in the boot options list when you start up your computer(when you have it plugged in).
