Tristan
I could use the BIOS too...have a Neo2-FR. Tried the modded 1.7 BIOS for Neo-F and it failed miserably -- couldn't even boot from the DVD to install. Went back to 1.8 MSI BIOS and all is working well save the cores issue. Tristan
The file I tried was not for MSI Neo2-FR, i.e. 7345. It was for Neo-F, or 7360. It didn't work for me. I'm running OS X with cpus=1 right now on official MSI Bios 1.8. I hope someone will post the modified BIOS for Neo2-FR where we can get it! Tristan
Which kabyl file did you use? 7360v17 or the 1.8 one for MSI Platinum? If you have the one for MSI Platinum, do you mind sending it to me? I have a MSI Neo2-FR and the 7360v17 BIOS did not work for me. OS X would hang at "ACPI CPU Debug= 0] whether I selected S1 or S3 in the BIOS. I am now running MSI's 1.94 beta BIOS for Neo2-FR and although I can boot OS X without cpus=1, OS X reports only 1 core is in use. I assume you have SATA hard disk and dvd drive; if so, try selecting AHCI under Integrated Peripherals -> On-board ATA controller.
