marliwahoo Posted March 4, 2006 Share Posted March 4, 2006 Not if you are using that drive for OS X only. Just start the dvd, find disk utility and format, install. If you are dual booting from one drive, I think this partition scheme is the best. Format with disk utility or windows, all partitions I have made primary. The first partition is ntfs for windows, second partition is hfs for osx, third partition is a (fat 32) swap drive that I use for all documents and media. That way you can have all your docs/media reside in one place and be used by both windows and osx.
