finally got around to trying the 10.3.3 wesley patched installer and it hangs at the 'non-emulation booting' screen and seems to just keep reading the disc. i rebooted & used my xp install cd and it also went to the 'non-emulation booting' screen, then moved onto to installing XP after a few seconds. i don't recall whether i used Nero or Alcohol to burn the dvd, but i still have the image so should i try re-burning with Alcohol? any tips for moving forward would be greatly appreciated (especially since today is the first day in 2 months that i have the time to do this)(and yes, i realize the chances that someone answering today are slim).

or is another installer a better option?

thank you.

just tried reburning with Alcohol, same thing. my laptop is 3 yrs old - could that have a bearing on it? i'm planning on selling it but wanted to use it as a guinea pig first. i spose i can confirm the dvd's booting abilities by trying it on my other laptop or desktop...
